张宝蔚,中国花鸟画画家,中国美术家协会会员。1939年生,苏州市人。60年毕业于南京师范大学美术系,师从傅抱石、陈之佛诸名家。四十年来,潜心翰墨,勤奋不辍,在长期的生活实践中不断积累充足的创作底气,用温柔轻灵的江南情怀去发现和感受人民敦厚刚毅的美感和真情,既师传统,又师造化,创作出一幅幅具有雄秀刚柔独特气质的作品。曾出版连环画30余册,花鸟画作品多次参加全国性画展,并送美国、加拿大、日本、新加坡、韩国、香港等地展出,为国内外收藏家收藏,有作品参加国际竞赛获一等奖,并被加拿大收藏。近年来,其创作的工笔画“雨花石系列”在书画界引起强烈反响以及书画收藏家们的兴趣,被誉为中国画雨花石第一人。艺术简历及作品被收入《江南名家书画选》、《中国书画家》、《中国画年鉴》、《当代中国美术家大辞典》等,出版《张宝蔚画集》。
A Brief Introduction of Mr. Zhang Baowei, Famous
Contemporary Chinese Painter of Bird-and-flower
Mr. Zhang Baowei was born in 1939 in Suzhou,
Jiangsu Province. He graduated from Fine Art Department of Nanjing
Teacher’s University in 1960. He is a student of Mr. Fu Baoshi, Chen
Zhifo and many more distinguished teachers of fine arts. For four
decades, he has indulged himself in the field of painting, and have
been working diligently, accumulating and absorbing stamina for
creativeness of art from the long term of social activity and personal
life experiences, which in general has enabled him to interpret and
express with a special tender and nimble south China style, the beauty
and true feelings of honest and sincere local people. He learned as
much from nature as from his teachers, and has painted series of fine
art works in an artistic language of his own combining both grace with
magnificence , vigor with elegance. Mr. Zhang Baowei has had over 30
cartoon books published. His bird-ad-flower paintings have been
repeatedly selected in the exhibitions of P.R. China, USA, Canada,
Japan, Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong Area etc. , and are widely
collected both domestic and abroad. His fine art works have won him
gold metal in the international painting contest. The recent fine
paintings of Yuhua stones have drawn tremendous attention from the
fine art circles and have brought forth strong impact on the
collectors of fine art works. He is recognized as the first painter of
Yuhua stones. His chronology and works have been compiled in the books
“Selected Works of Famous South China Calligraphers and Painters”
, “Chinese Calligraphers and Painters”, “A Chronology of Chinese
Paintings”, “A Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Fine Artists”,
and “Collection of Paintings by Zhang Baowei”.
